How to create flash or normal image gallery

Hi
I saw image gallery on many websites
It is just like website headers with photos in it which can be moved to left or right by clicking on arrows.
I want to know how to create it?
Does anyone know online tutorial for it?
I think it is also called as java-script image slider

For creating photo gallery in which photos can be navigated by clicking arrow direction, you have to use xml banner gallery rotator or xml image gallery photo viewer.

I have no idea about flash.. Can anyone tell about how to create flash image gallery..
