I would say directory submission is very oldest method of link building but I'm not sure how effective it is.

What if you have done lots of directory submission, what kind of benefit would you get from your website, in terms of traffic and seo?

As per my view directory submission does not provide any benefit because through this activity we get very low quality backlinks.

Directory submision help to boost your website everytime. directory submission is very important to provide a back links for our site.

We get one way links from directories but it takes time to approve.

Directories doesn't add a lot of value to the website, but if websites of your niche gives you high quality backlinks, then its a good technique of off page.
