Default Website authoring

Dear Guest, please register and confirm your

Several years ago I set up a website for an annual amateur golf tournament. I did it using FrontPage. I have been writing computer programs since the '60's (I am old!) so I don't have much trouble with the html or php, although I am not what I would call an expert. Anyway, I need to rewrite it in preparation to turn it over to other volunteers who don't know html or other programming. I started out thinking to do it in weebly, but worry about getting blacklisted. I looked at joomla, but it is too complicated for non-techies. We have a domain name and are currently housed at ixwebhosting and I have nothing but good things to say about them. The website will need a form page and preferably be able to do tables.

I would appreciate discussion on options (free or cheap, since this is not for profit group) for where or how to rewrite the website or how to make the existing one into an "update friendly" site. Thanks!

I would encourage you to look at Joomla, as it isn't that complicated cms, I actually haven't used it myself on major scale, though been involved in a team project with it, even though I haven't created it myself, I found it very user friendly for the first time. I had a log in account to add delete modify articles etc.

Most web hosting nowadays have Fantastico De Luxe through cpanel, as you know it's easy to install the latest joomla, perhaps you can do it for them, as I have said it is very user friendly, that I am going to use it for a new blog soon.

I don't believe you will be blacklisted to move into new site through update, and also, any other option for you to pass on the website, will actually be more complicated for those who do not know html etc.

Anyhow, that is my opinion, and I hope it helps
