The Automattic has announced the launch of wp.me short urls for WordPress.com hosted blogs. This URL shortening service is different form others like tinyurl.com or bit.ly.

• WP.me is the only two-letter .me domain in the world;
• Every blog and post on WordPress.com has a WP.me URL now;
• It doesn’t work for any URL in the world, just WP.com-hosted ones;
• The links are permanent, they will work as long as WordPress.com is around;
• WP.me is spam-free, because they are constantly monitoring and removing spam from WP.com.

Thats awesome I didn't know that. Wordpress is so cool. I have a Wordpress MU web site that I just created and can't get enough of how much support and extensions there are for it (heh well at least for the regular version). I am even learning PHP so I can start making my own plugins. Thanks Wallace for this forum I am defiantly going to put my two cents in ( maybe more), I like how fresh it is and it seems it is only a matter of time before more people see the value of this site as I have.
